Hippo Bubble Games is a software company based in Austin, Texas. We create and sell educational software in the action-adventure genre. Our software applications emphasize creativity and promote technical learning, preparing kids early for real-world success.
Educational Software
At HBG, our unique software applications encourage children to rethink the process of thinking. We support children in defining their own ideas of fun, promoting exploration of the external world around them, as well as the internal world within them. We facilitate learning in an organic fashion by giving kids the freedom to explore, create, and experience new things.
In our first product specifically, named Dr. Algorithm (click here to view teaser), the child is immersed in a fun world based around computer programming concepts. In Dr. Algorithm, and other HBG software, children are empowered to define fun on their terms, with the ability to play as they want to play and the flexibility to push boundaries. Our software applications work with children’s natural learning processes. These applications exist in three platforms: (1) narrative-based games, with complete storylines that show measurable progress; (2) sandbox environments in which children actually build and shape their environment, as a creative outlet; and (3) interactive modes which allow children to learn valuable competition skills as well as cooperative teamwork skills.
